The Role
Forkast is looking for an Associate Coordinating Producer to join our growing editorial team, with an immediate start.
You will be responsible for helping with the coordination of video productions and projects at Forkast and provide support in all aspects of the operations, administration, planning, and production for video content output. You will work with the video production team to assist with producing multimedia news and social media videos that are distributed across partner channels, as well as publishing video content to our website.
As associate coordinating producer, you will have a great eye for detail, the ability to spot mistakes, and be excellent with time management and adhering to strict deadlines. You are often involved in the critical stage of working on the finer details of each project before content is published and liaise with other team members to facilitate the timely and error-free publishing of all content at Forkast.
Responsibilities
Your role will include the following:
- Work closely with the producers, liaising between team members and communicating details, to ensure the end result is a unified piece
- Manage and upload video content to our website and YouTube channel. This includes accurately tagging content with keywords and setting up YouTube videos for publishing.
- Tracking and assist with project managing the stages of video productions
- Video support, oversee transcriptions, creating and cleaning up scripts, and ensuring successful upload
- Assist the production team with delivering assets to various OTT channels as required. This may require doing manual analysis and checks to ensure all metadata (filenames, airdates, guests, descriptions) meet client specifications
- Manage and resolve incoming requests from the production and editorial teams on a day-to-day basis
Qualifications
- At least a year’s experience in newsroom production or similar
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree required
- Thrives in a fast-paced, unstructured startup environment — hungry and willing to roll up your sleeves
- Must be highly detail-oriented and have excellent time management skills
- Excellent communication skills (native English fluency is preferred)
- Familiar with AP Style writing
