The Role
Forkast is looking for a People Operations Lead to join our fast-growing team, with an immediate start. You will shape and develop HR policy, guidelines, and procedures, and manage recruitment and hiring. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the future of Forkast.
You will partner with the Operations team and be responsible for managing all operational aspects related to HR, overseeing recruitment, hiring, and onboarding, working closely with team leads throughout the process. Empathy is a must; you will also have a great eye for detail and be able to identify areas for process improvement.
Job Duties
- Support the development of HR policies and procedures and collect data to build, improve, and operationalize internal processes, including developing metrics for performance management
- Lead and implement the recruitment process, working across teams to understand needs and goals
- Source and identify candidates, interviewing and assessing skills, advising hiring managers and onboarding successful candidates
- Develop and maintain an ongoing pool of candidates through strategic sourcing and research with a purposeful eye on diversity of candidate pools, including establishing key relationships with external pipeline organizations
- Provide insights to management to help attract, retain, and develop qualified candidates
- Coordinate people and resources as part of a cross-functional team to complete projects
- Be a source of support for current team leads and assist with team needs when it comes to payroll/visas and onboarding
- Research training programs and make recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 2 years of experience in HR with an emphasis on HR operations and recruitment
- Experience working for a global company, preferably in media and journalism
- Experience with labor/employment laws and compliance requirements
- Experience with data analytics and how they impact business and people decisions
